They are looking a person that is genuine and connect with people, enthusiasm and positive attitude. The business of selling cars for a living is not like any other sales job so they person that interviews you will understand, they are just looking for the qualities I mentioned earlier. Your appearance will be important during your interview so make sure you dress appropriately and professionally. You are going to be working with potential car buyers so make sure you look and act like a professional car sales person.

Once you get hired by a dealership to sell cars professionally you will begin your car salesman training before you will start working with car buyers. This training may be anywhere from a one or two day class up to a weeklong class. Regardless of how long your training takes this where you will get to the nuts and bolts of how to sell cars professionally. Make sure you show up on time and pay close attention because this will be the foundation to your success as a car sales professional.
